The Avas Cellarium is a multifunctional building created by preserving the foundations of a 17th century listed wine house and using 21st century techniques. The aim of the project being implemented here is, among other things, to set an example for the wine cellars in Avas, Miskolc. for the renovation of the cellars.
The wine house was statically unviable before the renovation, and a part of its walls collapsed. Instead of demolishing the building, the owner decided to save the original building. In consultation with the city of Miskolc, the original building was converted into a reinforced concrete "box" avoided, thus ensuring its preservation.
An important aspect in the design of the new building was the use of modern and environmentally friendly technologies. Cooling and heating were achieved with renewable energy and a heat pump. Natural light is provided by a seamless skylight, and the lighting technology is also energy-saving LED lighting.
Additional services: The Cellarium is not just a stand, but a living and constantly expanding knowledge. The designed employment In the space, wine and pálinka knowledge lectures and courses will await those interested. In addition to the theory, standard workshops will be held.
