The white-washed Bajna Castle, built in the classicist style based on the designs of József Hild and now renovated inside and out, once served as the home of the family of the &Ourdlöglow, or Count S&aondor Móric. The breath-taking The famous count, who is said to have jumped off the balcony of his castle on horseback, often rode his horse into the building. The new, innovative, interactive museum in the beautiful main building uses modern simulation tools to immerse visitors in the hair-raising horsemanship and adventures of Móric Sándor. The castle's later heiress, Paulina Metternich-Sándor, also followed in her father's footsteps in terms of fame: she dictated fashion in 19th-century Paris, founded a fashion club in Vienna, Richard Wagner recommended one of his plays to her, and Edgar Degas also painted her. The ladies imitated her elegance and refined style. In the renovated rooms of the Bajna castle, we can also look into Paulina's elegant wardrobe.
