The Egri Road Beatles Museum, the only Beatles collection in the Central and Eastern European region, opened its doors on May 15, 2015 in the Hotel Korona Eger building. The museum, which houses more than 1,500 objects from the basement to the first floor, has welcomed visitors from 55 countries in the past year. Similar museums can currently be found in Liverpool, Halle, Alkmaar and Buenos Aires.

The museum was created by two friends out of their passion for The Beatles. Gábor Peterdi and Gábor Molnár have been collecting Beatles-related audio materials and relics for decades, and the Hotel Korona Eger finally gives them a place. Gábor Molnár, author of the book The Immortal Beatles, has acquired several hundred records, DVDs and other Beatles memorabilia from the late sixties to the present day, while Gábor Peterdi has been collecting audio and video material since 1978. In addition to the materials, he managed to acquire valuable relics, a library of specialist literature and period publications.

Film clips, contemporary news, interviews, concert recordings can be viewed at the touch of a button, and visitors can listen to the band's works through headphones. The display cases display period press products, clothing, models, limited editions and rarities. Puppets, posters, flags, wall graphics, exact replicas of the band's instruments, a glimpse into the Yellow Submarine, the monumental release of the Bors Őrmester album, games and event photography will transport visitors back to the legendary sixties.
