At the beginning of Bethlen Gábor Street stands the twin-towered Greek Catholic church, built in a mixed Byzantine style. Bertalan Vojtovits was asked to design the church, and Bertalan Vojtovits and Barczó were responsible for the construction. They trusted in St. Michael.
The foundation of the church was laid in 1895, and construction began shortly thereafter, which was completed in the summer of 1897 due to financial difficulties, and the consecration took place that same year.
The church was hit by a bomb in 1945. The damage was successfully repaired with state aid. Inside the church, there is a beautiful iconostasis, and its patron saint is Saint Nicholas.
