In the heart of the city, on the “Broadway of Győr”, there is a theater that plays to more than 6,000 tenants, primarily aimed at children, but also for adults. The Vaskakas Puppet Theatre is a theatre arts center that also stages and hosts productions, and whose troupe has "worked itself" into the forefront of Hungarian puppetry in recent decades. It is one of the most significant and progressive theatre workshops in the country. Every year, they perform around 500-550 performances in front of around 150,000 spectators in the building converted from the city puppet theatre.
