The Baroque K&áacute;llay kíriat was built in 1763 by the Italian architect Salvator Aprilis of the Nagyk´lló County Court on the orders of György K´llay. The original core of the castle is the central six rooms with the hall, the end of the eastern wing, and the two-story terraced part were added to the building at the beginning of the 19th century. During World War II, During this time, both the building and the park were damaged. From 1948-49, the manor house was used as a workers' quarters by the forestry department, the parquet was oiled, and wood was cut on it.
The Apagyi State Agriculture Department took possession of it in 1949, used it as a crop warehouse, and fertilizer and crops were stored in the once beautiful rooms. In 1964, the building was restored and declared a monument at the expense and under the supervision of the National Monuments Supervision.
