We welcome you, our dear guest, with warm feelings, and we are also proud to have found the only Hungarian-style restaurant in the city of EGER.
Our restaurant has been located right next to the main street, in a place that can be easily integrated into any city program, for almost 80 years. Based on the few surviving written documents and the memories of living eyewitnesses, it was owned by the SZANTHOFFER family until its nationalization. From then on, it was called the JÓBAR&Acute;T-kisvendéglő, but in 2001 the new owners returned it to its original name (the phonetic pronunciation of the family name) because every citizen of Eger knew it by this name.
In our restaurant, those who like traditional Hungarian cuisine, family atmosphere, homely tastes, and unworthy neglected Hungarian dishes will find the most joy. We again brought out the sausages, sztárpaczká, gancá, and roosters already prepared by Mrs. SZANTHOFFER, but we also prepared some dishes for international guests!
On weekdays, our chef prepares varied menus, dishes, and daily specials for all of you! Our restaurant can accommodate 50 people and our Mediterranean terrace can accommodate 40 people.
Our guests can order from a multilingual menu, pay with cash or hot meal vouchers (SODEXHO, ACCOR SERVICES, LE CHEQUE), and companies can also pay by bank transfer.
