The Tatabánya Museum was founded in 1971. Tatabánya is a young city, its existence can be attributed to the industrial development of the late 19th and 20th centuries, therefore the defining area of the museum's work - in addition to the rich archaeological finds - is a collection of new and recent memorabilia.
Our new permanent exhibition, Metamorphosis, presents the history of the area in an interactive way, in the spirit of historical ecology.
